Jasmine Owens was born and raised north of Atlanta in Powder Springs, Georgia. She is a graduate from the Savannah College of Art and Design campus in Atlanta where she pursued a BFA in Photography and minored in Graphic Design. Throughout her studies, Jasmine has learned and been able to experiment with 35mm film, 4x5 film, digital, and aerial photography.

Notably, she has been recognized for her work as a recipient of the Gene Alcott 2020 scholarship trip to New York as well as being celebrated for making the Dean’s List. Her scholarships include the SCAD Achievement Scholarship and the SCAD Academic Scholarship. Currently, Jasmine has her most recent work up for display through her SCAD senior exit show, 'LIMBO' (May 2020), in the Atlanta Celebrates Photography's show 'Rest(less)' (October 2020), in the virtual 'Friends of Gene' exhibition (Janurary 2021), and in the Atlanta Photography Group's show 'Honor Roll' (May 2021).

In Jasmine’s free time, she likes to play games, read, and travel.
